Teaching Demo Interview

• The interview will be about 25 minutes long.

• For the last 10-15 minutes, you’ll be expected to give a demo lesson, based on the
content of the slides. You’ll have some freedom in how you teach the material.

• We will interrupt the demo lesson after 10-15 minutes.

• The Interviewer and the interviewee both have the same lesson material. Assume that
the interviewer is a 5-6 year old student.

• This is an interview for an online teaching position. Please be prepared with a clutter-
free space, bright lighting, professional attire, and central positioning of yourself in front
of the camera.

Demo Tips
• Be punctual.

• Always keep smiling. Be energetic, patient, and cheerful.

• Speak clearly and slowly.

• Keep your instructions clear and simple.

• Encourage and reward the student with stars, high-fives, or applause.

• Employ teaching kits: props, flashcards, and other teaching aids go a long way!
