Theme:
Initiate, innovate to mitigate climate change : “be
a eco-warrior”
Criteria for judging/ guidelines
a.essay writing contest (English and Filipino, 1
student per section)
1. Essay writing is composed of 350-500 words and it will be done within 1
hour.
2. Yellow papers will be provided by the organizer.
3. Participants per section should bring his/her own black ballpen.
4. Contestants may decide to submit his/her paper earlier without waiting for
the lapse of 1 minute. A fraction of 5 minutes shall be considered 5 minutes for
the purpose of deduction.
5. Judging shall be based on the following criteria:

Organization of Idea 40%


Grammatically correct 30%
Relevance to the theme 30%
Total 100%

b. on the spot poster making contest (1


student per section)

1.Only one participant per section shall participate in the contest.


2.The poster theme should be announce by the contest administrator during
the contest proper.
3.The required materials to be used during the contest are ½ illustraton
board and coloring materials can be used. Contestant must provide their own
materials.
4.The allotted time for the contest is 1 hour after which all entries shall be
submitted to the contest administrator. Contestants may decide to submit
their poster wihout waiting for the lapse of 1 hour but should not leave the
room until time is up. Late submission shall be deducted 1% from the
percentage for every extension of 5 minutes. A fraction of 5 minutes shall be
considered 5 minutes for the purpose of deduction.
5. Judging shall be based on the following criteria:

c. slogan making contest ( 1 student per


section)
1.Only one participant per section shall participate in the contest.
2.The slogan theme should be announce by the contest administrator during
the contest proper.
3.The required materials to be used during the contest are ½ illustraton
board and writing materials such as marker, pencil, and coloring
paraphernalia(coloring his/her entry is based on the decision of the contest
himself/herself).
4.The allotted time for the contest is 1 hour after which all entries shall be
submitted to the contest administrator. Contestants may decide to submit
their poster wihout waiting for the lapse of 1 hour but should not leave the
room until time is up. Late submission shall be deducted 1% from the
percentage for every extension of 5 minutes. A fraction of 5 minutes shall be
considered 5 minutes for the purpose of deduction.

d. sayaw para sa kalikasan (15-20 members


per year level)

1. A minimum of 15 participants and a maximum of 20 shall perform during


the contest.
2. Dancers are considered performers.
3. The performance must consist of dance presentation pertaining to the
theme. The performers shall perform using the same song.
4. The presentation should last for atleast 3 minutes and a maximum of 5
minutes included the introduction and the exit of the performers.
5. The presentation shall be stopped when the 5 minutes time is over.
6. Musical accompaniment for the presentation should be a compact disc
generated only. No accompaniment shall be allowed.
7. The performers may choose another song with accordance to the theme to
be combined with the song given by the organizers and perform it freestyle.
8. The presentation must have environmental relevance and significance.
9. Props should be minimized and eco- friendly.
10. Judging shall be based on the following criteria:

Environmental Relevance/ message 30%


Precision of dance movements 20%
Originality 20%
Projection and overall impact 20%
Costume and Props 10%
Total 100%

E. mr. & ms. Ecology 2018 ( 2 pairs per year


level)

1. The candidates must be registered camp participants.


2. The pageant shall consist of 4 portions, namely:
a. Production number
b. Talent show (talent to be presented must have relevance to the
environmental awareness)
c. Kalikasan attire competition(indigenous costumes)
d. Question and Answer ( the question must have relevance to the
environmental awareness)
3. The kalikasan attire (indigenous gown) shall not be rented and made by
the cooperation of every level and supervision of the level adviser
otherwise; the candidate/s shall be disqualified. The attire shall be non-
biodegradable.
4. The registration of candidates shall be 100 pcs. of oil bottle(200 pcs. each
pair).
5. The talents of the candidates shall be in pair. Individual presentation of
talent shall not be entertained.
6. Judging shall be base on the following criteria:

Production number 15%


Kalikasan attire 15%
Beauty and Personality 10%
Talent and execution 25%
Intelligence and wit 25%
Stage presence 5%
Overall impact 5%
Total 100%

We would like to inform your good office that the Yes-O of Palo Alto Integrated School will be
having a school-based camp on October 7, 2018 (Saturday). The objective of the said camp is to
promote and increase the ability and awareness of the students about the preservation and proper
care of the environment.

Participants of the activity are students, teachers and parents of the said institution. In this
regard, we would like to ask your permission to allow our organization to conduct the said camp.
