THE WORTH OF K-12 PROGRAM IN PHILIPPINES

(Claim of fact) the K-12 program is the 2 years addition in high school and in the case of
the Philippines, they are trying to cope up with system of other countries. As other countries
are implementing K-12 program in the past years now. It is to prepare graduate for tertiary
education, middle-level skills development, employment and entrepreneurship. The program
aims to uplift the quality of education in the Philippines in order for graduates to be easily
employed. The programs also aims to meet the standards required for professionals who would
want to work abroad. Most importantly, this system aims to fully enhance and develop.

The government provide the voucher in the value of 22,500.00 pesos to help each junior
high school graduates and still go on with the K-12 education. The DepEd is of course
responsible for this in public and private school.

(Claim of policy) The DepEd should prioritize the voucher to comply with the private
schools letting students enter and giving quality education. The K-12 program should be
emphasizing that it is needed and can give a better outcome in the future of an individual .

(Claim of Value) This paper will somehow make a sense to prove that K-12 education
plays a great part in the incoming future decisions of our youth where it is a better program
that truly enhances such knowledge. Research has shown positive effects for children with
disabilities in areas such as reading individualized education program (IEP) goal, improving
communication and social skills, increasing positive peer interactions, many educational
outcomes, and post school adjustments. Positive effects on children without disabilities include
the development of positive attitudes and perceptions of persons with disabilities and the
enhancement of social status with nondisabled peers.
