Stretching and Pregame Defensive Warm-Up

1. Equipment (hitting stations) set up

2. Jog one lap with glove on

3. Dynamic Stretch (6 balls)

1. Knee grabs High knees Ankle grabs Butt kicks


2. Frank walks Lunge & twist Side shuffle slow Fast shuffle
3. Shuffle slow – opp. Fast shuffle –opp. side Low skips High skips
4. A walk Jog Jog Sprint
5. Sprint - steal Sprint Sprint - steal Sprint

4. Stretch – jumping jacks, small circles (both ways), 4 arm stretches

5. Hitting Stations –
a. Bunt – real balls (1-2 stations)
b. Tee – real balls into net
c. Soft Toss in dirt – Lite Flites or TCB balls
d. Shag

6. Play catch – at least base to base

7. Put away equipment, grab drink, listen to line-up

8. Take infield and outfield

Outfielders – Bucket of real balls, zip balls, and bat


a. over shoulder
b. on one knee
c. crow hop
d. popflies
e. diamond drill

Infielders – Bucket of real balls and bat


a. front line takes two
b. back line takes two
c. repeat a. and b.
