PROBLEM #1:

The parents’ wishes to know if there is no significant difference between the

performance of the senior high school students in Public school and Private school for their
children’s preference of enrolment. A parent investigated 10 senior high school students in
Public school and 10 senior high school students in Private school. He found out the
following data of the schools:

The mean of Public school is 78 with the standard deviation of 7,

The mean of Private school is 82 with the standard deviation of 10.

NULL HYPOTHESIS/Ho = That there is no significant difference between the

academic performance of the senior high school student in public school and private
school.

ALTERNATIVE HYPOTHESIS/Ha = That there is significant difference between the

academic performance of the senior high school student in public school and private
school.

In solving the problem, the research, the parent used “z-test” with two group of
respondent from two group of population.

The research, the parent set the critical value of ʆ = 10% where c = + 1.645.

FINDINGS/DECISION:

The computed value of z is -1.029, happens that -1.029 is less than of ± 1.645, the
tabular value. And in the rule, of z-test, if the z is less than the tabular value. The Null
Hypothesis/Ho will be accepted. This also means that the Alternative Hypothesis is
rejected.

CONCLUSION:
 THEREFORE, I conclude that there is no significant difference between the academic
performance of the senior high school student in public school and in private school.

COMMENTS:

According to the result of z-test, there is no different between the public school and
private school in academic performance of the senior high school students. The parents can
enrolled their children anywhere they want, for the reason that this research is all about
knowing the performance of the senior high school student in public school and private
school for the parents to know where to enrolled their children for incoming enrolment,
Because Education depends on the students intelligent to learn.

This research is all about knowing the best for the student. Especially that the senior
high school is not a joke for the students, because it is the preparatory of the student for
college life. And the parents will not be worrying so much more for the learning’s of their
children because according to the result, even in a public school or private school are
having a good education for the senior high school students, which mean it is enough to be
prepared for their college life.

The parents can decides where their children will be enrolled for the incoming
school year without worrying to the budget for the future of their children.

SUGGESTION:

For the parents, I suggest them to know where their child wants to study next school
year for the reason to know where the child really comfortable studying in his/her study.
And of course the parents should think for the future because the only make the public
school and private school different is the tuition of the students. We all know that the
public school is a free tuition school and a private school have tuition in every student.

And it is better to think for their financial capacity along with their children future.

For the students, I suggest to think for their parents and where they think that can
help them being a good student and can lead them to be an educated human person.
RECOMMENDATION:

The main goal of studying is to be an educated person and have a better life
for the future and school are no worries even it’s a public school or private school until
they give an education to the student, that’s the most important.

Students focus in education for their future.

PROBLEM #2:

Mr Gonzales, a PE teacher wishes to know the physical performance of 26 students

of Grade 11- HUMSS and 41 students of Grade 11- STEM, in a physical activity. The Grade
11- HUMSS got a mean score of 80 with the standard deviation of 8 while the Grade 11-
STEM has a mean score of 75 with the standard deviation of 6.

NULL HYPOTHESIS/Ho = That there is no significant difference between the Grade

11- HUMSS and Grade 11- STEM in physical activity.

ALTERNATIVE HYPOTHESIS/Ha = That there is significant difference between the

Grade 11- HUMSS and Grade 11- STEM in physical activity.

Since the computed value is 3.05, this means that the z is greater than the tabular
value, then the Null Hypothesis will be rejected which means that the Alternative
Hypothesis will be accepted.

CONCLUSION:

THEREFORE, I conclude that there is significant difference between the physical

activity of the Grade 11- HUMSS and Grade 11- STEM.

COMMENTS:

Mr Gonzales, conduct a research about the performance of his students in physical

activity, for the reason that he wanted to know, which physical activity of Grade 11- HUMSS
students and Grade 11- STEM students having difficulty to the activity and he wanted to
know also which strand having the most difficulty in doing a physical activity. So he may
know if the students in that strand need more time in doing the activity or he may know
what to do for the students to have an easy physical activity, so that they can easily learn
and do the next activity.

The research of Mr Gonzales is all about knowing the best for the students and also
to know what strand really having a bad time in doing physical activity so that he can find a
why do resolve the problem of the students in that strand.

SUGGESTION:
 For the students having a bad time in doing physical activity, I suggest to follow a
healthy lifestyle for them, so that in ever physical activity, the body are completely stable
for that activity. And I suggest, listening in every word that the physical instructor was
saying is the best thing to do so you do the activity easily.

Physical activity is important for one of us, so that our body and brain don’t break
down, then we really need to catch up in doing physical activity in PE subjects. And
listening is an effected formula of our difficulty.

RECOMMENDATION:

The main goal of this research is to know the difficulty of the students of the
different strand in doing physical activity, so the teachers know what to do, to the students
who is having a bad time in doing physical activity, so the students have an idea to do easily
the given task.

Because doing great in your life, start from keeping your body healthy.
