NARRATIVE REPORT

On January 2019, the principal of Mariki Elementary School, Mr. Alkhodari


P. Jakaria assigned a new Madrasa Education Program Coordinator. He
conducted immediately a meeting last February 7, 2019 to personally announce
the new coordinator of Madrasah Education Program. On that day the MEP
teachers planned a program for the upcoming recognition and graduation.

The Madrasah Education Program Teachers of Mariki Elementary School


conducted a thanks giving ceremony in join with the recognition of the Grade VI
pupils last March 28, 2019. The program was not successfully conducted without
the approval of our supportive school principal, the help of active teachers of
Mariki Elementary School, and the heartily cooperation of the MEP teachers. We
proudly choose one of our MEP teachers to be the speaker of that day, to give
his awakening message to the graduating pupils. And indeed, not just the pupils
but also the parents and the teachers were awaken.

The Madrasah Education Program teachers engaged themselves in active


participation in the closing exercises last March 29, 2019. Our MEP teachers
collaborated with the advisers in giving ribbons to the deserved pupils. Wherein,
they personally ordered a ribbon and wrote the names of the pupils and gave to
the advisers.

Graduation day has come, and the untiring MEP Teachers showed their
support in graduation program. They just come to school to immerse themselves
to all the teachers of Mariki Elementary School in participation with the graduation
program.
Observation and Recommendation

I did not even hear a complaint from our MEP teachers but as I observed
that they go through a luck of teaching materials such as; books, teachers
guidetea, and other instructional materials that are useful in teaching Islamic
Values and Arabic Education. If these materials will be provided, they will be more
effective and it will lessen the work of the all the MEP teachers.

Trainings are very important in our profession as a teacher, the same thing
as our MEP teachers. We admitted that most our teachers have not go through
college, but we surely they have knowledge to teach. Admittedly, the teaching
will be meaningful and effective if we have the updated methodologies,
strategies, and techniques in teaching. Surely, if our MEP teachers will have these
trainings they will be enrich and more effective teachers.
