Tuy Senior High School 3rd Virtual General Staff Meeting

Aug. 18, 2020

Narrative Report

The present condition of the world caused the education of the Philippines to take a
detour. Today, August 18, 2020, Tuy Senior High School held the 3 rd Virtual General Staff
Meeting in line with the Division Management Committee Meeting.
The virtual assembly started at exactly 9 in the morning. Mrs. Jennilyn Nimo opened the
ceremony with a prayer followed by an audio-visual presentation of the National Anthem. This
is hosted by the Sub-Group Coordinator Mrs. Lucky Ivy V. Visto together with the Special
Science Teacher Ms. Ruffa Mae Duman with the help of Mrs. Maria Shiela Bayungan as ICT
presenter.
Attendance of the staff was checked to ensure that everyone is present. The Principal,
Mrs. Ma. Verla Africa-Alvaran opened the meeting by checking on and greeting everyone.
The first agenda was about the plans of the schools which will push through as
mandated. The modules will be handed over to parents for dry run to be scheduled.
Next is that there are modules available but not all. The ones who have the subjects
posted can e-mail her for copies. The principal also reiterated that it is important to be
prepared at all times. All modules are expected to come but the others are still undergoing the
tedious process. In this case, it is better to have readily available lesson exemplar and modules
aligned to the given Most Essential Learning Competencies.
Each staff were given option for the delivery modality they want to undertake pursuant
to the DepEd Memorandum 162 (Suggested Strategies in Implementing Distance Learning
Delivery Modality (DLDM) for School Year 2020-2021).
The principal also emphasized the importance of communicating all matters accordingly
to promote and maintain a healthy working environment despite the pandemic. She also
reminded everyone of the proper transferring process across schools.
Once again, Ma’am Alvaran mentioned that the modules are to be printed at school and
that modules coming from DepEd are not for sale. Modules are to be checked and teachers
might modify them if they deem the modules needs enhancement. In the process, these
modules will be endorsed to parents and the outputs of their child/children must be signed
before they turn it in.
The last part of the meeting was question and answer. Teachers posted their queries
such as lesson exemplar alignment to the newly released modules among others. All were
happily answered by Ma’am Alvaran.
The closing remark was delivered by Sir Joel, wishing everyone to have a healthy and a
fruitful working condition.
The meeting was adjourned with everyone keeping in mind the subjects tackled.
