For attendants travelling from endemic countries or the ones who have been visiting any of those
countries, it is highly recommended to travel with your yellow fever vaccination card.

Attendants’ arrival to Punta Cana Airport (Alternative 1)

The International Airport of Punta Cana (PUJ) is located about 20 minutes from the Hotel Barceló Beach
and at a distance of approximately 17 km. Participants are responsible for their transfer to and from
the Hotel.

Airport tax

The charge of boarding rate is made through the airline's flight ticket.

Group Check-in

The Hotel has enabled a room for a faster check-in. This will be located in the Convention Center area.

The Hotel offers taxi service and users have to make reservations before arriving at the hotel. At the
airport, hotel taxi drivers are located in terminals A and B, identified as Vacaciones Barceló.
However, there are other private transfer services at Punta Cana Airport.

Event information

 August 25th/18:00 h: The inauguration of the Event will take place at Salón Punta Cana of
the Barceló Convention Center located in the Barceló Hotel Complex.

 August 26th y 27th: The Event will take place in the Mallorca I, II, III halls (parallel meetings) of
the Hotel Bávaro Palace. The Barceló Complex has trains for transfers within its facilities (all
adjoining) and it has been informed that there will be two dedicated trains for the event’s
attendants. The agenda indicates the work schedule for both days.

Meals

The Barceló Bávaro Beach Hotel is an All Inclusive, therefore, food is included during your stay to
participate in the event. Services include all buffet restaurants for lunch and dinner, besides those
specialized for dinner, except the French and Japanese Restaurant. You need to book during the day to
be able to dine at these specialized restaurants.

Dress code

For the inauguration, it has been stipulated that the participants wear white clothes (shirt, dress). For
the rest of the days, semi-formal dress is requested.
Due to the heat, the use of light cotton clothing is recommended. Besides, the use of a jacket inside
the rooms due to the air conditioning is also suggested.

Dominican Night

On Monday, August 26, at 19:30 h (7:30 p.m.) the host government will offer a feast to the participants
of the Event. This activity will be carried out outdoors and participants will be informed about the exact
place.

Useful information about Punta Cana

The currency of Dominican Republic is the Dominican peso (RD$). Most commercial establishments
accept credit and debit cards.

 Weather:

Punta Cana has a tropical weather, with a temperature of around 30 ºC throughout the year and high
relative humidity, so light clothing is recommended.
It is highly recommended to travel with mosquito repellent, due to its proliferation because of rainy
weather.

 Security in Punta Cana/Santo Domingo:

Participants must be registered in the list provided by the people in charge of the event before entering
Bávaro Beach.

Inside the hotel there is private security, which is managed in coordination with the Specialized Tourist
Security Service (CESTUR) and with the National Police (P.N.)

The emergency number is 911 and it works 24/7.
