Question 1 [10 marks]

a) Determine the power rating of back-up power generator for this case
b) Assume the working voltage equals 380 V, the power factor is 0.8. The working
temperature is 400C. Determine the underground cable which carries the electrical
power from generator to MDB, at a distance of 37m
c) Determine the cross sectional area of the ground wire
Question 2 [5 marks]

Evaluate the distribution board design shown on the figure above and indicate if it is respecting
the regulations. If not, indicate the way to improve it.

Question 3 [5 marks]

Check if there is discrimination of protective devices. If not, propose the solution.
