COURSE DESCRIPTION: This course is designed to further develop nursing advanced knowledge with an emphasis on disease processes and nursing management. with
application of the nursing process to the care of adult patients experiencing medical and surgical conditions in the health illness continuum. A variety of health care settings are
utilized in meeting the complex medical and surgical health care needs of adult clients. Prototype health states, including wellness, are discussed with emphasis on associated nursing
diagnosis and application of professional standards of care.

MISSION: To provide the students with the knowledge, skills and attitudes that will meet the requirements for the nurse specialty certification program in the Philippines. The
learning experience contained in the program will enable them to be client advocates thus effecting changes towards quality nursing care in any work setting.
