Box Tops are an important source of fundraising for Erie, and helps the PTO fund activities
and programs, such as; Leader In Me, grade level field trips, and classroom improvement
requests. We are hoping to continue our success with the BTFE program with your help and
support!
Have you noticed fewer and fewer Box Tops on your favorite products? That’s because by the end of 2019,
Box Tops for Education will be going 100% digital. You may have already seen some brands change their
packaging from physical Box Top clips to the new Box Top scan icon:

Instead of clipping and checking expiration dates, all Box Tops will be earned digitally via receipt scans.
Download the new and improved, user friendly Box Tops Bonus App, register and select Erie Elementary
School, and then scan an eligible receipt containing Box Tops products (within 14 days of purchase). Once
you scan your receipt, the app will find participating products and instantly add Box Tops to our schools’
earnings online!!

Don’t worry!! We will continue to accept clipped Box Tops until they expire!!! Please continue to send
in with your child! Also, you can ‘double dip’ during the packaging transition by clipping the physical
Box Tops AND scanning your receipt with those participating items (a few brands are not allowing the ‘double
dip’ and the app will return a message indicating that).
