6.0 WORK PROCEDURE

A. Markings
After finishing the site preparation, require locations for RR masonry walls will be marked by
doing a setting out.
B. Trench excavation and ground preparation
After doing the initial setting out work trench excavation shall be carried out. The required
working space shall be decided considering the depth and the width of the RR masonry wall.

Bed preparation is done by compacting the loose soil in the trench, once the excavation is
finished.

C. Lean concrete
Once the bed preparation is done lean concrete shall be laid to a given thickness.

D. RR Masonry wall

RR masonry works will be started and continue up to the bottom of tie beam level or
DPC level as per the drawings. Mix proportions will be done according to the specification.

7.0 DRAWINGS
Shop drawings are prepared for RR masonry work to identify the correct locations,.

Apart from the RR masonry walls in the buildings the retaining walls in sloped lands, boundary
walls in sloped lands can be properly drawn for easy reference at the site.

8.0 QUALITY CONTROL PLAN / INSPECTION


For the purpose of quality controlling, the inspection and testing procedures will be used at the
site to keep the records and to maintain the quality of the construction work at site. In which all
the criteria’s will be addressed and checked, so that the construction work will have the same
quality throughout the project. Once the Contractors’ Engineer and the QA/QC Engineer carried
out the inspection, Engineers’ representative will carry out his inspection along with the
Contractors’ QA/QC Engineer and make the final approval to proceed the work.
