Dear Ma’am Avila,

Greetings of Peace!

We are writing this letter to apologize for not informing you about our scheduled date for our final
thesis defense last February 27, 2019.

As our mentor, it’s imperative for us to let you know about everything that we do, especially when
it comes to the most crucial part of this process, the final defense. Our team tried its best to finalize
its schedule on February 26, 2019; however, even at the very last hour, we were not sure if the
panelists were available on the next day.

We were able to finalize the schedule of our panelists on the day of the defense proper and as
courtesy for their schedule, we decided to proceed with the defense.

In the afternoon after our defense, some of us, decided not to inform you just yet because of the
possible repercussions. We’re sorry for being both unprofessional and immature with this process.

Again, we apologize, and we thank you for the endless contributions in making sure that we were
able to pull this work off.

Sincerely yours,

Alec Joel C. Mahinay Daryl Dean J. Martin
