ACTIVITY TITLE: COLLEGE OF LAW ORSEM 2019

DATE OF IMPLEMENTATION: JULY 15- 19, 2019
VENUE: Ateneo de Naga University

I. RATIONALE

The Law Student Government, as the official student government of the Ateneo
de Naga University College of Law, conducts an annual Orientation Seminar which will
introduce the incoming first year Ignatian law students to a new environment through
talks, skill-development and group dynamics.

The said event will be a five-day activity. This will help every freshmen law student
to develop self-awareness and gain camaraderie among his/her colleague as they
transverse into a new chapter of their lives. This will also serve as an avenue for the
students to develop good social relationship and interpersonal skills among the other
members of the College of Law community who will participate in the same event.
Moreover, the Law Student Government is well aware of the struggles of a first year law
student. Based on observation, such struggles become easier to conquer through
sufficient preparation both academically and emotionally. Thus, the Law Student
Government wants to sponsor an Orientation Seminar to acquaint them with their new
environment and colleagues and to give them an overview of what's ahead of them. There
will be coaching sessions to equip them with the essential skills to survive the challenges
that they will encounter while in law school. This will be the groundwork for the
preparation for the entire approaching school year. In the end, this event will be an area
for everyone to build and showcase their leadership abilities, naturalistic skills, and
societal awareness.
