Activity Plan

I. Activity Name

“Eloquence 2022: A Talk Acquiring Communication Skills Seminar Workshop”

II. Rationale

Effective communication makes you a more productive worker and reduces unintended
consequences caused by miscommunication. Creating an effective communication process
allows you to better understand what others are saying and makes you a more effective
collaborator and team member. Communication skills are also advantageous for college
graduate students and job seekers. From the time they create their resume to the final
interview, Employers who invest time and effort in providing clear lines of communication
will quickly build trust among employees, resulting in increased productivity, output, and
morale in general. Meanwhile, employees who communicate effectively with coworkers,
managers, and customers are always valuable assets to a company, and it is a skill that can
frequently set people apart from their competition when applying for jobs. Candidates who
have received adequate training are more successful and confident in their abilities. This
activity is focusing on to developing assertive communication skills for college department
students. Furthermore, it is hoped that this activity will help students improve their
communication skills for use in their future jobs.

III. Objectives

1. To enhance student’s communication abilities.


2. To understand the basic types of communication skills.
3. Increase individual’s self-esteem.

IV. Provisions

1. Student enrolled on the Seminar, Workshops and Educational Tour of Dr. John Joseph Villotes is
compulsory and required to attend.
2. The tertiary department are encouraged to attend this seminar workshop. Snacks, learning
materials and certificate will be provided.
3. There will be a registration fee of P50 to be used for honorarium, certificates, snacks, token and
decoration. Pre-registration starts on October 06, 2022.
4. Activity evaluation will be provided after the activity.

V. Target date, time, and venue


Proposed date, time and venue of the aforementioned seminar is on October 15, 2022 /
8:00am – 12:00noon at the AVR.
