- High team performance and flexibility.

- Helps provide opportunities and show how things will be improving.

- High team creativity and his/her absence the team has the high ability to

work.

- Sees that all members are functioning.

- Maintain harmonious working relationships.

What is a Coaching?

 Is a relatively new and guiding leadership style.

 Leader takes the lead to get the best out of his employees or team.

Leadership Coaching is…

 Is a collaborative, individualized relationship between a leader and the

coach – the leader could well be an executive, manager, supervisor, team

leader or business owner for example – anyone in charge or responsible

for a group of people.

Coaches…

- See themselves as cheerleaders and facilitators while also recognizing the

occasional need to be tough and demanding. Coaching can be a powerful

leadership tool, if handled correctly. Good coaching focuses mostly on

enhanced performance as supported by high expectation and timely feed-back

while building on the tools of trust, mutual respect, integrity, openness, and

common purpose.

6 Essential Principles of Coaching

1. When coaching a peer or a subordinate, you must create a safe, yet

challenging environment

2. Try to work within the coaches agenda.

3. “Facilitate and collaborate.”

4. “Advocate self-awareness”

5. Promote learning from experience.
