A. INTRODUCTION / RATIONALE

This webinar is another journey of professional development and a fun-filled and worthwhile
experience for all the participants, SAN LUIS NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL facilitated this webinar about
COVID-19 awareness both in Physical and Mental Aspect with the help of our resource speaker Dra. Anna
York P. Bondoc who is a Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine & Internal Medicine Specialist.
This webinar enlightened the teachers, students and parents about the risks and effects of Covid-19
specially to the lives of many who are deeply affected by the pandemic. It became an eye-opener to everyone
about the benefits of learning the importance of getting vaccinated especially those who were having second
thoughts in doing it. The discussion is made to convert our problems into solutions by identifying what is
essential and important to us. The speaker reiterated that dealing with new normal changes is not to be scared of
and that it should open opportunities for everyone in order to achieve victory. Managing our stress is also
important according to Dra. Anna York because having a difficult mental state can lead to many serious
problem, but she said that we can overcome this by promoting facts from experts and guidance from our loved
ones that will help us improve in many ways as it ensures ourselves to be healthy and continuously learning.
After the discussion, the speaker opened the floor for questions about the topic. Inquiries were
entertained that clarified especially about the anxiety and worries of the viewers about COVID-19 vaccines.
She also mentioned the factors that affect our mental state that caused our stress and depression because of the
underlying effects of pandemic. She even shared her personal experiences about the misinformation of some
people about COVID-19 that led to improper ways in dealing with the virus. All queries were entertained and
answered by Dra. After such, the selected teachers of SLNHS performed a dance video presentation to uplift
the moods of everyone. Right after the dance presentation Mam Ruby virtually read the certificates to honor
and give thanks for time and effort that the resource speaker had made in her presentation. After the awarding
of certificate Ma’am Angelina Pena shared an inspiring message for the closing remarks.
