Time Allotment : 2 HOURS/ WEEK

Pre – requisite : P.E 001

III. Program Objectives:


Graduates of the BSE and BEED programs are teachers who:
1. Have the basic and higher literacy, communication, numeracy, critical thinking, learning skills needed for higher learning
2. Have a deep and principled understanding of the learning processes and the role of the teacher in facilitating these
processes in their students

IV Course Description: This course deals with the theoretical and practical aspects of the course in folk dance and modern dance. The active
involvement of the student emphasize. Part I tackles about the Philippine folk dance which are useful for strengthening of national consciousness as well as
the preservation of our cultural values. While Part II tackles about the modern dances to encourage the students to become more creative.

V. Course Objectives :

1. Identify the different terminologies.


2.Demonstrate and identify the fundamental dance positions.
3. Execute with the facility of the basic dance steps in2/4, 3/4 , and 4/4 time music.
4.Perform the dance terms correctly.

5. Follow and execute verbal dance instruction from a dance instructor a leader.
6. Interpret written dance instruction.
7. Dance with ease and grace movement.
8. Develop and enlighten commitment to the national ideals by discerning, preserving, and developing desirable traditions and values of the Filipino
heritage.
9. Understand the importance of Disasters (Natural Disasters, Human-made Disasters, Categories of severity.

Note: Class Standing includes any/all of the following:
Recitation, quizzes/test, homework, seatwork, laboratory exercises, class reports, projects, etc.

IX. Classroom Management Rules


To maintain class order and discipline the students should follow these rules:
1. Keep away all types of gadget during class hours otherwise, they would be confiscated by the instructor.
2. Attend classes regularly and on time (15 minutes late will still be allowed for the student to the classroom but he/she will be
marked absent .
3. Avoid talking and doing other disruptive behaviors while class in in session.
4. Talk professionally and avoid uttering profanities.
5. Take the responsibility of updating yourself for what transpired if you missed a session by contacting a classmate.

6. Clean the classroom and arrange the chairs before the class starts and before leaving the classroom.
7. Exert effort to speak in English during the entire period.
