MINUTES OF THE MEETING WITH THE
STUDENT INTERNS ON REVIEWING CURRICULUM
LAST SEPTEMBER 5, 2019, 1 PM AT SEMINAR ROOM

After the opening prayer led by Dr. Emma O. Suana, with quorum duly constituted, the Chairman called the
meeting to order.

1. ATTENDANCE. There were 18 student interns who attended the said meeting.

2. NEW CHED MEMO ORDER.

2.1. Dr. Suana informed the student interns that the new CHED memo order features 18 program
of studies with emphasis on the 9 units Filipino subjects that was included in the curriculum.

2.2.The following are the programs that the students can choose:
❖ Bachelor of Elementary Education
❖ Bachelor of Special Needs Education
❖ Bachelor of Early Childhood Education
❖ Bachelor of Technology and Livelihood Education
( ICT, Agri-Fisheries Arts,Home Economics and Industrial Arts)
❖ Bachelor of Secondary Education
(Math, English, Science, Social Studies, Values Education, Physical Education)

3. REVIEWING OF CURRICULUM MAP AND PROGRAM OF STUDIES.

3.1.Common errors committed on the previous program of studies are the following:
❖ The total number of units.
 ❖ Some courses are taken repeatedly and some were not included in the program of studies.
❖ There are also misspelled words.

3.2. To address these problem Dr. Suana let the students reviewed and checked the following:

UNITS
General Education Courses 36 units
Professional Education Courses 42 units
Research 6 units
Major Courses 66 units
Mandated Courses 14 units
TOTAL 164 units

3.3. The reviewed curriculum and program of studies will be implemented next school year
2020-2021.

The meeting was adjourned at 3:00 P.M with a closing prayer.
