2019 GAD-INTEGRATED MID-YEAR IN-SERVICE TRAINING

(NARRATIVE REPORT)

In accordance to DepEd annual implementation of Mid-Year In-Service Training and in

line with the continuing professional development program of the Department of Education to
provide its personnel with opportunities for professional development and personal growth,
Carcar City Division conducted the 2019 GAD-Integrated Mid-Year In-Service Training. The
training covered five days from October 21 to 25, 2019.

It is a pertinent will for teachers to continually advance their understanding of the

philosophy and pedagogy of education in order to provide quality and relevant education. INSET
allows teachers to acquire professional goals for the success of the school as a whole and
increase the current level of knowledge and skills in their target areas. It will help mobilize
teachers towards a modernized way of teaching and orient them on the latest trends in the
teaching industry.

It is with these thought that this seminar-writeshop is conceptualize.

The activity aimed to:

a. Strengthen teachers’ skills in i-Plan preparation;

b. write comprehensive i-Plans for all learning areas across grade levels adhering to the set
standards;
c. promote continuous improvement in the preparation of i-Plans; and
d. develop collegial environment during the i-plan writeshop.

 The participants are divided into groups for Day 1.

The Mid-Year In-Service Training 2019 ended with the commitment of each teacher to
pursue better education for the learners of Carcar City Division. Indeed the seminar-writeshop has been
fruitful and successful.
