Fancy sweater
JANUARY 4, 2018

And here we are in 2018. I have a lot of expectations

from this year and a lot of projects that can wait to
start, to finish and to share with you.

I begin 2018 with a sweater so easy to make and

which I hope will convince you to make it and to
start crocheting if you don’t crochet yet, because is
so fun. Is simple but also eyes caching and I love it.

This sweater is made only from 2 parts. This pattern

is for sizes from XS to XL.

S – approximate 350 grams
M – 400 grams

A light weight yarn (DK or worsted).

I used Scheepjes, Colour Crafter, in color
Ameland
4 mm crochet hook
Tapestry needle
Scissors

The stitch that I used is Single crochet decrease

stitch

Gauge

For a 10 cm/4 in square I had 16 stitches and 16 rows

in single crochet decrease stitch.

The final measurements for this sweater are:

So let’s begin

Back side

Foundation chain

XS – 72 stitches
S – 80 stitches
M – 88 stitches
L – 96 stitches
XL – 104 stitches

Plus 2 stitches more.

Beginning with the 3rd stitch from the hook, make

the single crochet decrease stitch: 2 single crochet
together, chain 1. And repeat to the and of the row.
The written instruction and video tutorial with this
stitch here

Repeat the row 1 to the armpit

XS – 46 rows
S – 50 rows
M – 54 rows
L – 56 rows
XL – 60 rows

If you want your sweater to be longer just make

more rows.

Row 46 (50, 54, 56, 60)

At the end of this row we will make the sleeve

After finishing the row chain extra stitches for the

sleeve

XS – 32 stitches
S – 32 stitches
M – 36 stitches
L – 38 stitches
XL – 40 stitches

If you want your sleeve to be longer, chain more

stitches

After chaining turn your work

Row 47 (51, 55, 57, 61)

Beginning with the 3rd stitch from the hook make

the single crochet decrease stitch to the end of the
row. At the end of the row chain the extra stitches
for the other sleeve and turn

Row 48 (52, 56, 58, 62)

Single crochet decrease stitch to the end of the row.

From now on we will continue making the back side
with the sleeve too.

Repeat the row 48 (52, 56, 58, 62).
