I. Objectives

At the end of the lesson, the pupils should be able to:


 Identify the classification of animals;
 determine the food they eat and
 Classify animals according to the food they eat.

animals and I will introduce them
to you.

animals.*

ago, you are correct. Goat, Horse, and
Giraffe are plant eaters and they are
called HERBIVORES.

C. Discussion

There are 3 classifications of animals


according to the food they eat.
Herbivore, Carnivore and Omnivore.

Herbivorous animals are the ones that


eat PLANTS only.

Carnivorous animals are the ones that


eat other animals and;

Omnivorous animals are the ones that


eat both plants and animals.

Other example of Herbivores are


Rabbit, Deer, Sheep, and Kangaroo.

The animals that are carnivores are


Lion, Tiger, Cat and Dog.

And the animals that eat both plants


and animals are;
Duck, Chicken, and Bear.

Now that you really understood the


lesson, we will do an activity.

I will group you into three (3), the first


group will be the “Herbivores”, the
second one will be the “Carnivores” and
the third one will be the “Omnivores”,
each group will list down herbivorous,
carnivorous and omnivorous animals as
many as you can and you will present it
afterwards.
