3.1 Introductory Activity Routinary Activities

3.4 Abstraction
(5 minutes) The teacher will discuss “The Different Kind of Animals according to
the Food they eat.”
 All animals must get food to survive. Animals get food from
the environment in which they live.
 Different animals have different eating habits or eat different
kind of foods.
The teacher will provide and use the given examples from her pupils
to classify the different kinds of animals from the food they eat.

A. Herbivore – These are animals that only eat plants.

B. Carnivore – These are animals that only eat meat.

C. Omnivore – These are animals that eat both plants and meat.


3.4 Application  The teacher will flash an animal pictures and words and let the
(3 minutes) student Identify if that animals or words is a Herbivore,
Carnivore, and Omnivore.

IV. Assessment Classify these animals properly in the table:

V. Assignment
(2 minutes) The teacher will tell her pupils to answer this activity at home. And ask
her pupils to study advance for their next lesson.

Differentiate the following animals; Write HB if the animal is a plant
eater, CN if the animal is a meat eater and ON if the animal is a plant
and meat eater.
