I. OBJECTIVES
At the end of the lesson, the students will be able to:
1. Define fruit cocktail and identify the procedures in making fruit dessert;
2. Demonstrate how to prepare fruit dessert; and
3. Value the importance of ingredients in preparing fruit dessert.

Singkamas, Blueberry, Banana, Condensed Milk, NESTLE all purpose cream
and disposable container.)

In connection to that, our
topic for this morning is all
about “MAKING FRUIT
DESSERT”.
But before we proceed, here
is the Objectives that we aim to
attain as we go along with our
discussion.

OBJECTIVES:
1. Define fruit dessert;
2. Select and prepare different
ingredients in making fruit dessert;
and
3. Value the importance of
ingredients in preparing fruit
dessert.
B. LESSON PROPER

1. ACTIVITY
Okay class I have here some
of the ingredients in making fruit
dessert. Then tell me the name of
each ingredient.
Is that clear?
Yes ma’am!
What is this class?
(Showing singkamas)
“Ma’am! Singkamas.”
So what tool do we use in peeling
this one?
“Knife ma’am!”
Very good!
How about this one?
(Showing kalamansi)
“Kalamansi ma’am!”
Very good!
What is the use of kalamansi?
“For instance in making sauce, it makes
the sauce smells good.”
Very good!
How about this one?
(Showing Sugar)
“Sugar ma’am!”
Excellent!
What is the use of sugar class?
“For sweetening ma’am!”
That’s right!
How about if we are going to
measure the sugar, what kitchen
tools do we use?
Ma’am!

2. ANALYSIS
So class, what have you observed
from our activity earlier?
Ma’am! We observed that the different
ingredients in making fruit dessert has
also its different uses or functions for a
certain dessert.
Very good!
How about if we are going to put
other ingredients which is not
suited for fruit dessert, what will
happen?
Ma’am! It can affects the quality of fruit
dessert that we are going to prepare.
Excellent! Another?
If the ingredients is not suited for fruit
dessert of course the taste becomes
different and it can affects to our health.
Yes, that’s right!
We should always remember that
being healthy is the most important
in order for as to do our task well.

3. ABSTRACTION
Now, to understand it better, we
are going to define what fruit
cocktail is.
Anyone from the class?
Ma’am!
“When we say fruit cocktail, it is the
combination of fresh fruits sliced or in
cubes.”
Very good! What a nice idea!
How about if you are
celebrating your birthday’s, do you
prepare a fruit cocktail or fruit
dessert?
Yes ma’am!
How do you prepare a fruit
cocktail?
“Ma’am! We prepare it through combining
different fruits and with flavorings also.”

Yes, that’s right!


Are you excited to know the
equipment, ingredients and
procedures in making fruit
cocktail?
Yes ma’am!
Now, let’s first know the tools.
What are the tools we need in
making fruit cocktail?
Ma’am!
 Knife
 Chopping board
 Measuring cup
 Measuring spoon
 Bowl
 Wooden spoon
 Strainer
 Chiller

Those are the tools needed in
preparing fruit cocktail.
How about class the ingredients in
making fruit cocktail?
Ma’am!
INGREDIENTS:

1 small can fruit cocktail, syrup


drained
1 cup cherry
1 singkamas
3 banana, cleaned
and sliced
1 cup blueberries,
cleaned
¾ cup nata de coco
¼ cup condensed milk
1 pack NESTLE all
purpose
cream(250 ml)
Very good!
So those are the ingredients in
making fruit dessert or fruit
cocktail.

Now, let’s proceed to the


Procedures.
Who will read the first step?
Ma’am!
1. Combine the fruit cocktail, cherry,
banana, blueberries and nata de
coco in a bowl.

Okay, now let’s proceed to the


second step.
Who will read?
Ma’am!
2. In a large bowl, whip together
NESTLE All Purpose Cream and
condensed milk. Pour the mixture
into the bowl with fruits and mix
lightly.

Next, who will read the last step?


Ma’am!
3. Chill for at least three hours before
serving.

Very good!
But before I chill this I’m going to
add marshmallow and cheese for
dressing.

Now this is the finish product!

Again class, what are the


ingredients needed in making fruit
dessert?
Ma’am!
“Fruit cocktail, Berries, Banana,
Blueberries, Nata de coco, condensed
milk and NESTLE all purpose cream.”
Precisely Correct!
But remember class, you can
add fruits as many as you can.
You can put also other flavoring for
it’s good quality.

So why we need to know the


procedures in making dessert?
Ma’am!
“In order for us to know how to make a
fruit dessert (fruit cocktail).”

prepare a fruit dessert?
“Yes ma’am!”

That’s good!

4. APPLICATION
I will group you into 4.
Kindly make a circle. Then each
group should provide tools and
ingredients in making fruit dessert.
Take note that you can make your
own dressing as what you want as
long as it makes your fruit dessert
attractive.
Then each group will present their
finished dessert in front of the
class.

But before anything else, I


want to present to you the criteria (The students will do the group activity.)
for judging based on what we have
discussed earlier.

IV. ASSESSMENT
Direction: In a ¼ sheet of
paper, arrange the following
procedures in making fruit
dessert from first step to the
last step.
Answer Key:

 In a large bowl, whip 4

 Combine the fruit 2

purpose cream into the
bowl with fruits and mix
lightly.
V. ASSIGNMENT
List down the tools/equipment, ingredients and procedures in making gelatin
dessert. Put your assignment in a long bondpaper.
