EQUIPMENT:
Equipment and systems covered by this certificate are as follows:

Constructional features
The light fitting of type 6000 is an explosion-protected light fitting for use in Zone 1, Zone 2, Zone 21 or Zone 22. It is available
for wall, ceiling or pole mounting. The housing of the light fitting comprises a base made of polyester reinforced with glass
fiber and a light-transmitting protective bowl made of polycarbonate.
The joint surface
CONDITIONS between the base
OF CERTIFICATION: NOand the bowl is fitted with a seal, thus making it water- and dust-tight. The light fittings are
equipped with G13-bi-pin lamp holders.
The series 6000 light fitting is available in the following versions: single and double lamp 18/20 W (IEC 60081) or 17 W (ANSI
C 78.1), single and double lamp 36/40 W (IEC 60081) or 32 W (ANSI C78.1), single and double lamp 58/65 W (IEC 60081) or
40 W (ANSI C78.1).
The light fitting features a flameproof electronic ballast (EVG 6042/9) and, optionally, can be fitted with a control device 6048
and a contact block 8080.
All components have been certified separately. The ambient temperature range is
–25 °C to + 55 °C (18/20 W, 32 W, 36/40 W), maximum surface temperature is T80°C;
–25 °C to + 50 °C ( £ 58/65 W), maximum surface temperature is T90°C;
–25 °C to + 40 °C ( £ 58/65 W), maximum surface temperature is T80°C.
Using of conventional ballasts is not permitted.
Additions to the light fitting, such as breathing glands, metal entries, bi-pin fluorescent lamps with a diameter of 26 mm and 38
mm (to IEC 60081) or 26 mm (to ANSI C78.1) are permissible.
The light fittings are suitable for use in dust atmospheres.
Depending upon the assembly parts and the additional features, the light fitting shall be used in accordance with the marking.
