Activity 25: The Pursuit of Happyness

(A Reflection Paper)

Every individual has its own ways to become happy. Hence, knowing what will
make you feel so, is very important for you to be able to know how to pursue your
happiness.
After I watched the movie entitled “The Pursuit of Happyness”, I realized how hard
it is to achieve genuine happiness most especially when you are perfectly match to
stupidity. And yes, I honestly admit that I also experienced being so stupid as I began to
live in this world.
Way back then, I did something (confidential) even if I knew that it was really
wrong. So stupid right? If only I could turn back the time I would undo everything I did in
the past. Since, I don’t have the power to do so, I had no choice but to embrace my past
through accepting what I did, forgiving myself, and bearing all the lessons I have learned,
that is why, here I am now, facing fearlessly my present.
My point is that, stupidity can’t be a barrier itself because right from the start it is
our choice to do so and of course it’s our responsibility to face all the consequences of
our stupidity — possibly making better choice the second time around to pursue our
happiness within.
Anyways, what is really a happiness for me?
Happiness within achievements. Since I am still a student, every achievement I got
in school have made me happy especially when they appreciated my presence. Not only
in school, also when I got the chance to get what I wanted. For instance, as a student it
is really necessary to have an Android phone, thus, I work hard way back when I was a
senior high school to become number one in our class, which is the condition of my
mother so that she will provide me everything I asked. Such a great motivation from my
mother for me to really do well as I study. Up to now, I am really working eagerly to
achieve my goals and pursue my dreams.
Happiness within the family. Having my family is really a genuine happiness for
me. Even if it is not perfect, at the very least we are fine, and we are together which is
truly enough for me. Their support and the way they express their trust upon me while I
am still running into my dreams, have made me stronger enough for me to conquer every
hardships I have encountered along the way. Soon, if I finally reach my dreams, I will
surely provide my family everything. As long as I live, I will try my best for them to live a
better life. Together in this lifetime, we will conquer the world and find beauty in it
genuinely, blessed and blissfully.
Happiness within service. I owe everything to our Almighty Father including the
happiness He have made me feel even if it is for the meantime. Thus, it is also my
pleasure to be happy in giving Him my service in this lifetime. Because in Him, everything
will go on its right place. Therefore, always strengthen your faith just like what I did for us
to live our lives worthy, happily and without regrets.
