SSC Meeting (Cabinet Selection)

Venue: Amphi theatre, The American College, Madurai-02
Purpose of Meeting:
To set up separate cabinet for SSC based on the roles and to discuss about
conducting the audition for various events for the present academic year 2019-
2020.
Minutes of meeting:
 The meeting started with prayer.
 Seperated the various works and duties in SSC into five main cabinets and
appointed two student volunteers under each category. (List attached)
 Planned to conduct the SSC audition within July 31st to select talented
students from the college.
 Made a decision that only the selected and eligible students could attend
intercollegiate events this year.
 The students demanded a suitable space inside the college for them to
practice and work. And they asked for a common SSC identity card or
badge.

SSC Audition
Date: 16/08/2019
Place: Auditorium and Amphi theatre, The American College, Madurai-02
Purpose:
Through SSC, a huge audition was conducted, which contains 27 different on stage
and offstage events. The main purpose of this audition is to select talented students
within the college. The selected students will represent our college in
intercollegiate events and will get a chance to participate under respective
categories.
Minutes:
 The registration for various events started at 8.30am and ended at 10.00am.
 All the registered participants were assembled inside the auditorium and the
start up ceremony with prayer was lead by the SSC convener Dr.P.Arulappan.
 The events began and the participants were directed by SSC volunteers to
their respective venues. A staff co-ordinator as a judge and two students
were allotted in charge of various events.
 All the off-stage events such as, writing , oratory , art &craft, photography
were conducted within 2pm. Then there was lunch break from 2.00pm to
3.30pm.
 After 4.00pm till 6.00pm, on-stage events such as Music, dance ,dramatic
events took place.
 All the programmes got over by 6pm. At last there was a small meeting for
SSC members with the staff coordinators and the SSC Convener.
 The SSC students put forth their demands before the Convener for showing
best results in the upcoming competitions.
