Task Performance
Interactive Applications with MVC Framework
Objectives:

At the end of the exercise, the students should be able to:

 Analyze the MVC approach; and


 Examine existing interactive applications to determine the effectivity of MVC approach.

Materials:

 Google Chrome and Microsoft Word


 Internet connection

Instructions:

1. Create a new document in Microsoft Word with the name format 07TP_LastName_FirstName (ex.
07TP_Reyes_Mika). This will serve as your answer sheet and will be collected by your instructor.

2. Open Google Chrome and search for three (3) interactive websites or Web applications that were
developed using ASP.NET MVC framework/architecture. Examine each website or Web application
and provide answers for the following items (for each web application):
a. Name of the website or Web application (5 points)
b. Short description of the website or Web application (5 points)
c. Screenshot of the website’s or Web application’s homepage (5 points)
d. Rate the Views and Controllers of the website or Web application, five (5) being the highest
and one (1) being the lowest. Justify the rating that you gave to the website/application in at
least two (2) sentences. (5 points)

3. After examining some interactive website or Web applications, answer the following items in more than
five (5) sentences:
a. How would you relate the MVC framework/architecture to human-computer interaction (HCI)?
(Essay: 15 points)
b. Give two (2) criteria in HCI guidelines and explain how these can be used in evaluating an
MVC-based interactive website application. (Essay: 15 points)
c. If you are going to design and develop a learning management system (LMS) for a school,
college, or university, would you use an MVC framework/architecture/approach? Why or why
not? (Essay: 15 points)

4. Access your eLMS account. Go to 07 Interactive System Development > 07 Task Performance 1
Dropbox. Attach a PDF file of your answer sheet.
