NATURE AND SCOPE OF WORK:

The work to be done in this project shall include the furnishing of all materials,
tools, equipment and labor for the satisfactory performance of all necessary works to
complete the construction of the project.

PREPARATION OF THE JOB SITE:

A. CLEARING AND GRUBBING - In the clearing of site, preparatory to

excavation, shrubs, trees and other obstruction on the way of the construction
shall be removed and cleaned.
B. EXCAVATION - Staking of line and grade, leveling and compacting of
backfill. Excavation for footings and foundation shall reach the hardest strata,
and no footing shall rest on fills.

CONCRETE AND MASONRY WORKS:

A. PROPORTIONING OF CONCRETE – all concrete works shall be done in

accordance with the standard specification for the concrete materials and the
following shall be used:
Class “A” (1:2:4) - for footings, slab, beams and columns.
Class “B” (1:2:5) – slab on fill

B. CONCRETE HOLLOW BLOCKS (CHB) – use 5” CHB for exterior walls

and 4” CHB interior walls reinforced with 9mm rebars @ 0.60 meters o.c. and
at every 3 layers. The cell containing the vertical reinforcement shall be filled
with mortar of 1:4 mixture.

CARPENTRY AND JOINERY WORKS:

A. Lumber shall be of approved quality of their respective kind on various parts

of the works, well seasoned, thoroughly dried and free from imperfections
impairing their strength, durability and appearance. Form lumber shall be
rough dimensions. All exposed woodwork shall be smoothly dressed and well
sandpapered.
B. All framing lumber shall be done as possible with careful mortise and joints.
All wooden jambs, sill heads attached to masonry or concrete shall be
anchored with 4” CWN. All contact surfaces shall be applied with hot coal tar.
C. Ceiling works shall use ¼” hardiflex, fastened to metal furrings or similar.

TINSMITHRY:

A. All roofing works shall meet the Philippine standards as per specified on the
plans. Overlaps shall be done safe from scooping water.
B. Flushing, valley roll shall be Ga. 26 pre-painted galvanized iron sheets as per
design on the plans.
C. Longspan Coloroof shall be used for roofing while gutters shall be Ga. 26 pre-
painted decorative.

PLUMBING: (Rough in fixtures)

A. The work to be executed in this project shall be in conformity with the latest
rules and regulations of the Philippine Sanitary code and the local ordinance of
the city or municipal.
B. All cold water supply lines shall be 20mm dia. sched. 40. All galvanized iron
pipes shall be at their respective sizes and of approved quality on type of
location.

ELECTRICAL WORKS:

A. The work to be executed in this project shall be in conformity with the latest
rules and regulations of the Philippine Electrical code and the local ordinance
of the city or municipal.
B. All materials to be used shall be of standard sizes and of approved quality on
type of location.
