Ellicott Elementary 2019

Red Ribbon Week

10/21/19 - 10/25/19
The effort to keep kids away from drugs goes on every day but Fall is a time of special importance. From October
21st-25th Ellicott will celebrate “National Red Ribbon Week”. People from all walks of life will wear red ribbons and
clothing, decorate schools, stage parades, rallies and assemblies to show their commitment to living their one life free
of abuse and drugs. Ellicott Elementary will be joining this cause in three ways. We will be sponsoring a School Spirit
Week to promote Red Ribbon Week. We will be participating in the WNY United Against Drugs & Alcohol Abuse
Coloring Contest. We will also be collecting canned goods, as a way to give back and enjoy a positive community
building activity together.

WNY United Against Drugs & Alcohol Abuse Coloring Contest:

Students in grades K - 5 should draw a picture of themselves on the contest form. The whole sheet
should be colored and the information filled in completely and legibly. To be entered in the contest,
please return the coloring page to the main office by October 25th. Every student who enters the
contest will receive a free ticket to the Bison’s “Red Ribbon Game” this coming Spring at Coca-
Cola Field! Please return your contest form by the end of Red Ribbon Week, October 25, 2019.
