 Leo District
Installation
Leo district installation was held
on the 3rd of August with the
participation of many guests. The
newly appointed district president
Leo Mudith Bimsara Jayasekara
and all the other newly appointed
club presidents and district
council officers for the leoistic
year 2019-2020 were taken oaths.
As the newly appointed district
president Leo Mudith Jayasekara
was recognized as “The Leo of the
year” by the Lions International.
He revealed the Leo district 306
A2 badge and the theme for the
new leoistic year followed by an
explanation in his speech. The
website for the Leo district 306 A2
was re-initiated and was opened
by the district governor.
Many past district presidents have
attended this occasion and one of
the most significant incidents was
the presence of many Lions of the
district 306 A2.
And it was mainly highlighted in
the speech delivered by the Leo
multiple president Leo Dilruk
Tissera.
The multiple governor in his speech
brought up his main concept which
will lead the Leos to be proud Lions
in future. It is the Leo-Lion
movement, and he appointed Leo
Kesari Senaviratne to coordinate
this. In advancement for this Lion
Kamal Senaviratne offered a
sponsorship for the registration fee
for the first 15 Leos of the district
who will register for the Leo-Lion
movement. And 6 new clubs were
initiated as well.

 Monthly General Meeting
For a new beginning under the guidance of our newly elected club
president Leo Lakshitha Sandaruwan, the first event of our club, the
Monthly general meeting was held for the month of July. Starting with the
national anthem, reciting the pledge and inspiring speeches throughout
the event was a good inducement for our Leos and prospects to this
precious journey. The General meeting was held on the 08th August 2019
at the SLTC campus premises with the participation of our honorable chief
guest, Zonal director of zone B2 Leo Raseema Sugandi and Guest of
honor, the director of membership retention, Leo Navod Kriwaththuduwa,
all the Leo members and Leo prospects were able to know their
experiences and memories all through their Leo journey. The General
meeting decided the new Board of Directors and the adoption of financial
statements for the preceding year. At last the event was concluded after a
small discussion on the current issues, solutions for them and some pro-
posals for the future development of the club, which proves the passion of
Leos and prospects towards the club.

exhibit not only their knowledge but also to
understand and enhance their learning ability by absorbing

head of editorial panel of Leo club of Sri
Lanka Technological Campus, I would like
to present “Leo Times” magazine, the 1st
edition of the official magazine of Leo club
of SLTC, where a diverse array of
community service projects and
fellowship events conducted by our fellow
Leos and creative articles by our Leos are
being mentioned. As this is our 1st
edition, we took an effort to present the
evolution of our Leo club and our
achievements so far. So don’t forget to

a Leo allows you to discover new interests,
