Content Standard:
The learner demonstrates understanding of concepts and underlying principles in maintaining the tools, equipment and
paraphernalia for computer system servicing.

Performance Standard:
The learner independently maintains the tools, equipment and paraphernalia for computer system servicing.

I. Objectives:
At the end of the session, learners are able to:
 LO 1. Use and maintain hand tools, measuring instrument and equipment
1.1 Perform safety procedures in using hand tools and equipment
1.2 Follow procedures in cleaning, tightening and simple repair of hand tools, equipment and
paraphernalia

II. Subject Matter:


A. Topic:
Maintain hand tools
1. Safety procedures in using hand tools and equipment
2. Procedures in cleaning tools

III. Procedure (Lesson Development):

Motivation

(15 minutes)
1. Ask the learners to get only their pen.
2. Distribute on each learner a copy of the pre assessment on the LM, pp. 26.
3. Let them answer the pre-assessment.

Lesson Proper

1. Discuss and elaborate the lesson “Tools and Equipment Maintenance” on the LM, pp 27-28.
2. Stress some ideas on how to maintain tools and equipment in Computer System Servicing.
3. Demonstrate what are the proper ways to maintain tools and equipment.

IV. Assessment:
(10 Minutes)
 Ask the learners to get a paper and a pen.
 Distribute a copy of the “Self Check 1.1” on the LM, pp. 29.
 Assess the learner how much they have learned.
V. Assignment.
 On a ½ sheet of paper.
 What is it important to maintain cleanliness to our tools and equipment?
