If you have technical skills to develop a digital product and want to solve the problem of agricultural distress in
India, we are excited to meet you. We are a problem-focused company, which is on a mission to provide farmers
the agency to decide when to sell, whom to sell, and at what price. In India, every half an hour, one farmer
commits suicide. One of the primary reasons is the lack of agency to negotiate a better price for their produce.
The urgency of cash around the harvesting season requires these farmers to quickly sell off their produce
without waiting for a favorable market condition. The lack of access to storage and the need to repay the credit
further intensify the situation. Gramhal solve this problem of distress selling by integrating multiple post-harvest
services on a single platform.

We are looking for an individual who has the agility to move across the roles of product envisioning, product
design, coding, user experience, and product management. The position requires developing products for
multiple users – farmers, banks, warehouses, and buyers, and hence, the person should be able to quickly
change hats to understand each user’s needs and requirements. The person will have a great learning
opportunity as our product cuts across multiple sectors – agriculture, fintech, supply chain management, and e-
commerce.

The role requires extensive coordination with the Gramhal’s partner organizations and the stakeholders in the
supply chain. The immediate requirement will be the development of android based service management
applications, a web-based backend platform, and the SMS enabled services for farmers. The role will evolve with
the growth of our service offering. Some of the more specific responsibilities are:
• Prepare conceptual designs for the web and mobile applications; this will include building new systems
and optimizing existing ones.
• Interview and coordinate with end users to envision product specifications.
• Develop the product (code and develop it), test it, and bring it to market.
• Work closely with Gramhal’s management team on developing operating strategy, future expansion
plans, and service offerings.
• Determine product pricing by utilizing market research data.
• Hire, train, and manage a team of product developers as we expand.

We are looking for an versatile person who has mettle of solving one of the biggest problems in India. Currently,
we are piloting in Yavatmal, Maharashtra and will prefer that you join us there. However, we are flexible about
working remotely while spending 30-40% of the time in the field with users. We will prefer if you have prior
experience in product development, especially web and mobile solutions in the fintech, logistics, e-commerce,
or related sectors. Nonetheless, feel free to apply - years of work experience and a college degree are not
barriers. We will look at samples of your prior experience (products you have developed.) We understand that
