Challenges:

During 2009-10, MAAP confronted with ever increasing demand from both local and foreign
shipping companies with well disciplined, ably trained, competent and qualified deck officers and
marine engineers who are hands on in a globally competitive maritime trade and industry.

The herculean task was to educate, train and manage hundreds and thousands of students,
officers, professors, educators, facilitators, coaches, mentors and facilitators in a maritime
education and training environment.

Understanding various bottlenecks, pain points across the stakeholders at MAAP to devise the
integrated solution.

ABA Technology Solution:

We carried out the gap analysis, Training Need Analysis with MAAP to provide a comprehensive
and flexible enterprise-wide training solution through our Learning Management System (LMS)
and Content Authoring Management System (CAMS).

A competitive advantage comes from integrating all training functions to provide a comprehensive
learning program.

Project Highlights:

Gap analysis, Training Need Analysis, client requirements were gathered to plan and devise the
solution for MAAP. Couple of seminars were held at MAAP by our Subject Matter Experts on
various topics, e.g.: Andragogy of Distance Education and Train the trainer to understand their
requirements and address their pain points.
