Level: Intermediate Date: 7/06/2019

Topic: Free Time Lesson Focus: Speaking

Aims:
Write your main and subsidiary aims here. Remember to keep your main aim communicative and contextualized and your subsidiary aims are what
you will do to get your students to your main aim:

Main Aim: By the end of the lesson, students will have practised their speaking ability in the topic of free
time.

Subsidiary Aim(s): By the end of the lesson, students will have revised previously known and learned new
functions in the topic of free time.

Personal aims:
What are your developmental aims as a teacher? Consider feedback from peers and your tutor from previous feedback sessions:

Reduce TTT, let students talk a lot during O/C time i.e. when giving feedback.

Feel less anxious about time management, don’t be too strict with time frameworks for each stage.

Assumptions:
What assumptions do you have about your students' knowledge and interests in the lesson and the tasks:

Students know how to use future tenses and will warm up talking about their plans for the weekend.
Students will be familiar with the topic of free time and will have questions about new ways to talk about the
topic.

Anticipated Problems: (non-linguistic) Solutions:

Write any problems you anticipate with timing, tasks, student participation, Write the solutions you have to these problems. What will you do in class
the topic, student motivation, student interests, level, etc. or in planning to solve your anticipated problems?
More advanced students will finish tasks quicker. Prepare extra work for advanced students

New, slower students will have problems with Use clear demonstration, identify slower students,
instructions and language monitor and micro-teach.

Materials:
Write, and reference when needed, all materials used in your lesson:
