Roles and Responsibilities:
Conducts Learning Needs Assessment (LNA) annually in collaboration with Nurse
Managers to determine the mandatory, specialized and continuing professional
development programs needed by Registered Nurses and Auxiliaries. Participates in the
review and revision (as necessary) of current educational programs for both mandatory,
unit-based and clinician training.
Updates educational programs based on identified learning needs for mandatory, unit-
based and clinician training. This includes objectives formulation, program and curriculum
development, and teaching methodology identification. Identifies appropriate instructional
materials and prepares these prior to conduct of program.
Develops evidence-based educational materials incorporating the principles of adult
learning. Prepares the training budget requirements for pre-employment, mandatory
training and continuing professional development programs to ensure seamless conduct
and appropriate allocation of available materials and manpower resources.
Identifies and maintains appropriate line up of resource speakers (i.e., at least two [2]
alternative resource speakers for every topic/course of pre-employment, mandatory
training, clinician and continuing professional development programs). Coordinates with all
resource speakers and other related departments at least one (1) week prior to the conduct
of program.
Communicates monthly and annual educational programs, and coordinates with the
Nurse Managers and Nursing Workforce Team in scheduling nursing personnel to
mandatory training, clinician and continuing professional development programs.
Strategizes logistic design considering the number of participants, the size of venue,
conduciveness for learning, and participants’ safety.

Roles and Responsibilities:


Establishes a therapeutic relationship with the patient and family, assessing the patient,
