Executive summary
Every day, tens of thousands of truckloads of materials brand new goods, clothes and food enter
our city to be parceled out in boxes, delivered urgently and consumed. Bags of discards line our
streets, attracting vermin and monopolizing valuable public space. Thousands more heavy
collection trucks take these materials to waste transfer stations, clogging the streets, polluting the
air and degrading the quality of life in surrounding neighborhoods. Most of these materials are
trucked to landfills in distant states, where they end up as trash, polluting the soil and air. This
system could be transformed. Discarded materials are a valuable resource that can be directly
reused, fixed or recycled into new materials, compost and energy—while providing jobs within
the city.
Company background
Current Status of the Business:
Solid waste management situation in Pakistan is a matter of grave concern as more than 5 million
people to die each year due to waste-related diseases. In Pakistan roughly 20 million tons of solid
waste is generated annually, with annual growth rate of about 2.4 percent. Karachi, largest city in
the country, generates more than 9,000 tons of municipal waste daily. All major cities, be it
Islamabad, Lahore or Peshawar, are facing enormous challenges in tackling the problem of urban
waste. The root factors for the worsening garbage problem in Pakistan are lack of urban
planning, outdated infrastructure, lack of public awareness and endemic corruption.
Solid Waste Generation in Major Cities
The local market has shown moderate growth in terms of its volume and FDI contribution over
the past few years. Both the public and private sectors have or will initiate small- to large-scale
projects, small- to-large scale waste collection, and waste treatment projects. According to
industry experts, the local market will continue to offer sizeable business opportunities to local
and foreign companies for the foreseeable future.
Key Products:
1. The plastic film can be made into plastic particles or converted into pyrolysis oil by plastic
pyrolysis machine.
2. Waste metal can be smelt and recycled again.
4. The stone and sand can be made into bricks which construction sites need.

SWOT Analysis
The major strength of this project it’s the new concept in emerging markets due to environmental
concern and global warming. Whereas investors in Pakistan are reluctant to invest in these types
of project so therefore to overcome this problem we have done Public Private Partnership. Due to
lack of interest of investors there is lot of opportunity in this area.
Marketing plan
We have different products and market locally and globally. Firstly, we have to educate people
how to throw their waste according to the specific bins different for different type of waste. We
should make them aware of diseases and environmental problems due to dumping of waste.
After educating them we will provide detailed understanding how the world is using it efficiently
by recycling the waste we can produce energy and cheaper products. For that purpose we will
contact to different industries locally and internationally where our products can be utilize. We
should introduce different bins for plastic, paper, wood, glass etc. in schools, universities,
colleges, private parks and even on roads.
Pamphlets should be distributed to make people aware regarding all the procedure. We can do
seminars in colleges and other private sectors to guide them. Sell products in paper bag or cloth
bag for shopping.
Material Reusing Techniques
Wood
Excavated soil/earthworks
• Excavated soil could be used for landscaping and as noise reducing embankment.
• If excavated soil is clean and complies with the quality specifications and code of
practice, it could be used in backfilling between tie beams, under plain concrete and
slabs, under foundations, and under structural walls.
Steel
• Steel reinforcement wastes could be straightened and reused in the reinforcement of any
pavement, sidewalks and curbs, concrete lintels, and openings.
• Steel reinforcement wastes could be used as spacers between the main reinforcement
grids, mainly in stairs.
Concrete
• Wastes of green concrete could be used in manufacturing on-site curbs and concrete
blocks and in architectural decoration (e.g. hard landscape) applications.
• Concrete wastes could be used in non-structural works such as in windows and door
openings and in road construction applications.
• Spoiled cement can be used in non-structural purposes such as masonry works, cement
paint, plain concrete, and tile mortars.
• Masonry wastes can be used in non-structural applications such as capping layers for road
embankment, landscape cover, and sub-base fill and backfill.
• Block and brick waste can be used for producing lightweight concrete.
• All brick leftovers in the different floors could be collected on the top floor where it
could be used as temperature insulating material instead of using foam or other
chemicals.
Plasterboard
• Plasterboard wastes could be used to insulate wall cavities, doors, and windows to
improve both the sound and thermal proofing.
• Large pieces of plasterboard waste could be used as fillers.
Insulation materials
Carpet Others
• Carpets if left in good condition could be used in areas where aesthetics play fewer roles
such as in basements.
• Carpet leftovers could be used to make mats for hallways and entryways.
• Leftovers of materials such as paints and sealants could be used on other areas.
Finance Plan
Our financial plan is based on receiving several loans to purchase/fabricate the production
equipment, provide initial operating capital, and establish the customer base.
