REFLECTION PAPER

The story is about how the student, Teddy, has changed by his teacher's love. Back then,
Teddy was a very bright child and an excellent student. He is troubled because his mother died
because of terminal illness so when Miss Thompson find out about his condition, she was
ashamed of herself. Miss Thompson paid attention to him and Teddy became the smartest in
their class, he came back to his alive personality. Until Teddy became a doctor and finally
getting married. Miss Thompson came to the wedding wearing the bracelet and perfume that
Teddy gave her last Christmas.

The part of the story where I am most touched is when Teddy gave his gift to Miss Thompson
because it was the turning point of the whole story and It was the part where Miss Thompson
realized that she was insensitive of what Teddy really needs.

After reading the story of Teddy Stallard, I, as a future educator, learned that no matter what a
child look or act like, We should give them the opportunity to thrive, to learn, and we should
encourage them. I know that losing a parent is not easy because they are my greatest
motivation and I want my parents and grandmother to witness my success but suddenly my
grandmother, who used to be my mom since I was a child, had a heart disease and she is always
having trouble in breathing that's why I always pray that my grandmother would feel better and
my father is always safe and healthy. I know that everything happens for a reason, I can't even
imagine myself without my papa and grandmother, but if ever that something happens, I am
not giving up instead I would continue reaching my dreams and make sure that I will succeed.
