Aim: -To design a Smart and a Green Campus using IOT
Objectives: -
1. To reduce the energy consumption.
2. To increase the comfort level of elderly and disabled people to live independent life.
3. To increase the security of the room.
4. To monitor and maintain the ambient conditions of the room

Introduction: - A smart campus is a campus where the rooms will be made smart by
controlling all the devices automatically by using wireless sensor network. For each device a
sensor will be placed to monitor their parameters thereby controlling them. All these sensors
are connected to the base station and that base station is connected to the internet. After that
the information from the sensors is used to control the parameters of appliances. A green
campus implies that a campus where the unnecessary energy consumption will be reduced. A
panel will be designed to monitor the status of the rooms.

10. Prof. S A Jain, Stevan Maineka, Pranali Nimgade presented a research paper on”
Application of IoT-WSN in Home Automation System:A Literature Survey” at
Multidisciplinary Journal of Research in Engineering and Technology.
Experimental technique: - Use of IOT with the help of WSN will be the key technique
implemented in this project. By using WSN, appliances parameters will be monitored and by
using IOT all informations will be transferred to the controller thereby controlling the
appliances. All the sensors are connected to a base station. The base station is connected to the
internet. After that the sensor information will be used for controlling the appliances. Various
sensors will be used to monitor the appliances parameters thereby controlling them.

Expected output: -The sensors with the help of switching and controlling circuits will monitor
and control the appliances when human being presence is detected inside its range. This
includes appliances like fan, A. C., lights, etc. By implementation of this project energy
consumption will be reduced. This will lead to a smart and a green campus.
Societal impact: -This will reduce the labour, energy consumption. Life become very simpler
and easier in all phases with the improvement of Automation technology. Today, automatic
methods are being chosen over manual method. It will help people with movement disabilities,
older people, people with low vision, hearing impaired people.
