EXPLORE (Time Frame)


A. Activity: Classify Me: (10 Minutes)
a. The learners will form a group of 7. (number of groupings will defend on the class
size)
b. The teacher will play a Philippine folk song from lowland of Luzon.
c. The learners will classify the song into Ilocano, Kapangpangan, Tagalog, Bicolano.
There answers will be written in the manila paper provided by the teacher.
d. After the activity, they will post their manila paper on the designated area.

a. Same group, they will form a single circle facing in.
b. The teacher will give hand-outs on the list of folk songs and the characteristics of lowland
Luzon.
c. Each member will be given 10 seconds to read and pass the flashcard to the person next to
him. The procedure will continue until everybody in the group read all the information.

a. The learner will choose his/her pair and share notes of the previous activity.
b. They will write their answer on a half sheet of intermediate paper.

a. Characteristics and its musical elements of folksongs from the lowlands of Luzon.
b. Example of folksong from the lowland of Luzon
c. Backgrounds, meanings and interpretations of the songs
