The document requests book donations to build up classroom libraries and support student growth as readers during Reader's Workshop. It explains that research shows making more books available helps students, and asks parents to send previously read books from home that children have outgrown to the school for inclusion in grade-level classroom collections. Donations should be labeled and sent to the attention of Carrie Halron.

Why: Research shows that putting more books in the hands of
our readers helps them to grow as readers. We are wanting to build our classroom libraries in order to offer our readers a wide selection of books to have at the tips of their fingers during their classroom Reader’s Workshop time.
How to Help: As your children outgrow the books in your home
or their interests change, we’d LOVE to have you donate their previously loved books to Dolvin! We’ll add them to our classroom libraries where they will be loved over and over again!
Please send in book donations in bags or boxes labeled
Attn: Carrie Halron.
From there books will be placed in grade appropriate classrooms!
