Title of Research: “Academic Stress on Academic Performace

of ABM Students”

 ABSTRACT

Current study explored the effect of academic stress on students` performance

and the impact of demographic variables like school, family, and peer pressure. This

research implied a total of one hundred forty respondents taken from ABM students only

in Benigno V. Aldana National High School. One hundred twenty were females and the

remaining twenty were males. Students of ABM strand facing a wide range of on-going

stress related to academic demands. Previous research indicates that academic-related

stress can reduce academic achievement, decrease motivation and increase the risk of

school dropout. This study aimed to determine the satisfactory rate of BVANHS’ grade

11 and 12 ABM strand in the study of “Academic stress on academic performance of

ABM students” specifically, it sought to answer the following queries: 1) Are there

significant causes of the academic stress to the academic performance of the

respondents. 2) Are there significant effects of the academic stress to the academic

performance of the respondents? 3) Is there a significant relationship between the

academic stress and academic performance of the respondents?
