POULTRY FARMING

1.INTRODUCTION:

Poultry farming is the process of raising domesticated birds such as chickens, ducks,

turkeys and geese for the purpose for the purpose of farming meat or eggs for food.

Poultry-mostly chickens are farmed in great numbers. Farmers raise more than 50billion

chickens annually as a source of food, both for their meat and for their eggs

Poulty Farming

Ducks

Turkey's etc.
Chickens raised for eggs are called

“layers” while chickens raised for their meet often called “broilers”

2.PLACE OF BUSINESS:

Find a location close to your city’s limits. while you can’t always start a farm in your

backyard, staying near a city is useful for transportation. Buy land outside of your town

or city’s limits, but close enough that you can drive to or from it on a daily basis.
 The further you move from your city or town, the cheaper the land will be.

 If you can’t find land near the city limits, look for land in the country side where

you’ll have plenty of space to farm.

3.PRODUCT/SERVICE:

It area provides information and links related to production, egg layers, breeders, turkey,

ducks and ratite.

4.MARKET ANALYSIS/TARGET CUSTOMER:

Marking of business, especially during the first few years, is crucial for securing more

customers and earning a larger revenue. To raise visibility, create ads, make business

cards, create a website, and make new letters to promote your business. If you’re new to

marketing and want to improve my tactics, hire a marketing consultant to choose the

best tactics for business promotion.

 Creating a logo for the business can also provide visibility for my brand.
5.ANALYSIS OF COMPETITORS:

By doing SWOT and PEST analysis we can identify the owner competitors in the

society of business:

 Strength- internal analysis

 Weakness-internal analysis

 Opportunity-external analysis

 eats- external analysis

6.FUNDING REQUIREMENT/ FINANCIAL ANALYSIS:

We can assume the financial analysis like this:

Equipment 1,80,000

Generator 20,000

Fencing 1,80,000

Motor vehicle 1,50,000

Office equipment 25,000

Fixtures and fittings 15,000

Branding and labeling 45,000

Feeding 5,00,000

Others like- water &electricity, Casing pipe ,Borehole, 3,74,500

Testing etc…
Total 22,44,500

7.SOURCES OF FUNDS:

No business can’t live without funds throughout the life of business, money is needed

continuously. Firm raises money mainly to meet the following:

 Raising, processing and marketing chickens on a commercial level

 Asking loans form bank

 Asking the debtors

 Merchants

 Debenture’s

8.INCOME AND EXPENDITURE AND PROFIT:

If we make agreement with some company like suguna, they will give 5batches per year

and 2.5 rupee as per kg .in an average for 40days the hens weight about 2 kg.

5000birds*2kg*2.5ruppe=25000batch+5000 manure

=3000 expenditures per batch is around10000ruppes

(including labor)

Total profit per year Is Rs1,80,000/-

9.GROWTH AND DEVELOPMENT:

Modern technology will play a major role for improvement and growth of farming.

The marketable strategy for key development is one of my top picks since it’s about

center business choices, steps, measurements and getting things going. It’s not about

explaining or defending for outsiders. It’s about what’s supposed to happen.

10.CONCLUSION:

Raising a home chicken flock can be a good experience and a source of enjoyment. As a

family project, it teaches about living beings and responsibility. The home chicken flock

also can be an excellent source of low-cost, high-quality poultry products.
