1.0 INTRODUCTION
Livestock Farming Business Plan is a lucrative Business that needs a lot
of Strategic planning to start and a business coach like Dayo Adetiloye
to help you start the implementation.
Livestock Farm aims to build and manage a fully equipped farm for
raising, breeding, feeding, maintenance and production of different kinds
of livestock animal. We intend to have an intensive farm in other to be
able to raise more animal. Our animals are managed intensively, kept in
zero grazing conditions with all their forage brought to them; pigs are
housed in climate-controlled buildings, cattles are kept in density
feedlots, poultry are kept in cages and maybe reared in barns.

Livestock is commonly defined as domesticated animals raised in an


agricultural setting to produce labor and commodities such as meat,
eggs, milk, fur, leather and wool.

The vision of the business is to become one of the biggest and


successful Live Stock in Abia State. Estimated start-up capital is Seven
Million, Eight Hundred and Fifty Thousand Naira (N7,850,000).
The business will be financed with loan capital.

2.0 Description of the Business

The business is proposed to specialize in the rearing and sales of
broilers, poultry products and other farm products. The mission is to
improve on the existing quality of livestock products while ensuring
affordability and availability as well as to create an excellent customer
relationship.

The objective of the business is to achieve a sale turnover of
approximately Twenty Four Million Naira (N 24,000,000). A gross
profit of N15,000,000 a net profit after tax of approximately
N14,000,000 naira. From two years commencement of the operation
as well as a customer base of 3,000 within the first year of operation
and increase to 8,000 within the end of the third year in business is

aimed at making profit and also to provide Jobs for the teeming
population.

space of about 3 plots is available for construction of the Livestock

supply of poor quality chicks, inadequate poultry extension services,
high cost of veterinary services.

In this project, a business plan was created which contains the business
overview, market planning and financial calculation, operational plan.
However, starting up a poultry business in Nigeria is demanding due to
high cost of goods and products. A business well planned will yield more
profit and create employment opportunities.
