Respondents of the Study

The research study was conducted in Cotabato City, Maguindano. Cotabato City is
formerly part and the regional center of Region XII. But due to the ratification of the
Bangsamoro Organic Law, it is now part of BARMM and served as the regional center. Being an
independent component city, it's not a subject to regulation from the Provincial Government of
Maguindanao where it is geographically located. The city is situated in the lowest portion of
Maguindanao province.
The City of Cotabato with its 37 barangays spans an area with marked landscapes of flat,
level to nearly level, very gently sloping to gently undulations to moderately sloping or rolling. It
is basically a delta formed by two big rivers, the Tamontaka River and the Rio Grande de
Mindanao. Cotabato City is politically subdivided into 37 barangays; Bagua Proper; Bagua
IBagua II; Bagua III; Kalanganan; Kalanganan I; Kalanganan II; Poblacion Proper; Poblacion I;
Poblacion II; Poblacion III; Poblacion IV; Poblacion V; Poblacion VI; Poblacion VII; Poblacion
VIII; Poblacion IX; Rosary Heights Proper; Rosary Heights I; Rosary Heights II; Rosary Heights
III; Rosary Heights IV; Rosary Heights V; Rosary Heights VI; Rosary Heights VII; Rosary
Heights VIII; Rosary Heights IX; Rosary Heights X; Rosary Heights XI; Rosary Heights XII;
Rosary Heights XIII; Tamontaka Proper; Tamontaka I; Tamontaka II; Tamontaka III; Tamontaka

Data Gathering Procedure

Data was gathered by means of survey that were conducted in the city in four phases. A survey
was defined to query (someone) in order to collect data for the analysis of some aspect os a
group or area. One of the benefits of using surveys in research is that they allow researchers to
gather a large quantity of data relatively quickly and cheaply. A survey can be administered as a
structured interview or as a self-report measure, and data can be collected in person, over the
phone, or on a computer.

Survey questionnaires were given to the respective respondents and ask them to answer honestly
the questions. The survey questionnaire was composed of four parts.
Part I
Gives information about the respondents with regards to name (optional); age; sex; civil status;
educational attainment; occupation and year of residency.
Part II
Gives information about the title of the study which is Level on awareness on “No Plastic” City
Ordinance No. 4203. It has three sub parts; Subpart I consist of four questions about the city
ordinance, Subpart II consist of three questions about the duration of implementation and
Subpart III consist of two questions about limitations of using plastics.

Part III
Asking the respondents about issues and concerns regarding on the ordinance that they want to
address as residence of Cotabato City
Part IV
Asking the respondents for any recommendation regarding about issues and concerns regarding
on the ordinance.
