Professional Summary
I have been involved within the field of engineering for the pastone and half decade. I
started in 1992 as an Engineering Technician before pursuing my tertiary education from
1994 to 1998. After obtaining my Degree in Mechanical Engineering, I started working in the
MDF industry as an Engineering Executive and later progress to the positionofMaintenance
Manager. I enjoy working in challenging environment which requiresinnovative technical
thinking, strong self-discipline and personal work experience on solving issues which might
arises out of the norm. It really enhances me with abilities to further my own career and to
work cohesively as a team player.

 Certificate in Mechanical Engineering from Tunku Abdul Rahman College, Kuala
Lumpur Malaysia 1992.
 Diploma in Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering from Tunku Abdul Rahman
College, Kuala Lumpur 1996.

Work Experience
2011-Present: Maintenance Manager at Pt Sumatera Prima Fibreboard (Indonesia).

 To commissioning and to start-up Pt SPF Superthin MDF line project 2011.


 To manage the whole plant machinery facilities and its groups of maintenance
personnel ensuring its wellbeing to achieve all targets set by its management.
 Planning, continuous operation, efficiency improvement and resources
preparation in the form of spare-parts, manpower and specific job knowledge
requirement.
 To study and improve the existing Total Preventive Maintenance (TPM) to
accommodate for two MDF plant operating in tandem.
 Preparation of Standard Operation Procedure (SOP) for Maintenance
Department.
 As PIC (Person in Charge) for small project and machinery efficiency and
improvement.
 Identifies and implement new tools and application software in assisting
departmental maintenance activities.
 Identify MDF industry recent innovations which can be implement to current
machineries in order to keep it relevant in terms of output capacity, product
quality, maintenance and operating cost.

2008 - 2010: Maintenance Manager at Siam Fibreboard Co Ltd (Thailand).

 To manage plant daily and schedule maintenance in order to improve plant


reliability at Line 1 and Line 2 from Siempelkamp GmbH.
 To commission new Line 3 for thin board production while adapting maintenance
department to new technology from Dieffenbacher GmbH.
 To manage maintenance planning, improving efficiency and implement risk
analysis to increase up-time.
 Implementation of Total Preventive Maintenance (TPM) and to follow-up on major
issues of concern at each of the three MDF line.

2003 - 2008: Maintenance Manager at Pt Sumatera Prima Fibreboard (Indonesia).

 To commissioning and completely to start-up Pt SPF MDF line projectwhich have


been started in 1996.
 To train and organize new personnel for Maintenance Department.
 To customized and implement Total Preventive and Predictive Maintenance while
at the same time to organized, to train and to impart technical knowledge on the
up keeping of MDF plant.
 To modernized the plant in order to keep it up to date with the latest development
in MDF technology while at the same time to increase plant capacity to meet
management planning.

1998 - 2003: Engineering Executive at Samling Fibreboard Sdn Bhd (Malaysia).

 As a fresh engineer, recruited to learn MDF process and its plant maintenance
practices from machine supplier Metso.
 To technically support Maintenance and Engineering Department in its daily task
of maintaining the new Metso MDF line to achieve its design production capacity
andquality standard.
 To customized Total Preventive Maintenance (TPM) for the MDF line and its
maintenance personnel.
 To customized maintenance SOP of machine supplier in order to specifically
catered for the needs of the company actual operating environment.

1992 - 1994: Engineering Technician at Shimano Components Sdn Bhd (Malaysia).

 As a fresh technician, recruited to provide technical support and to carry out


maintenance on cold forging machinery. They are the core machineries used for
bicycle components manufacturing in Shimano Malaysia.
 Trained and tasked by Shimano Malaysia to routinely update the cold forging
process in line with the constant product update from Shimano Japan.
 Commissioning of new Asahi Sunac cold forging machinery from Japan. This
was to improve capacity and quality.
