Subject: - Invitation as an Expert in Panel Discussion at 80th Annual Session of the Indian Road
Congress (IRC) to be held at Patna (Bihar) from Dec. 19th to 22nd, 2019

Dear Sir,
As you are aware, Indian Road Congress (IRC) is the Apex body of Highway Engineers in the country set up by
the Government in consultation with the States in December 1934. The Principal objective of the IRC is to provide a
National Forum for regular pooling of experience and ideas on matters relating to road transport in India. IRC is working
in close cooperation with the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, GoI.

This time on the Invitation of the Govt. of Bihar, 80th Annual Session of the Indian Road Congress will be held at Patna,
Bihar (India) from Dec. 19th to 22nd, 2019. The details of the Annual Session are also available on IRC
website www.irc.nic.in & https://www.80ircpatna.in/. The IRC holds Annual Sessions, Seminars, Workshops and Panel
Discussion every year on the topics concerning road transport to provide a platform for discussion and sharing of ideas and
experience and thereafter implementation of the same.

The conference is expected to include presentations on latest research trends showcasing the important achievements and
upcoming challenges in the development of the infrastructure sector. IRC aims to bring the best technical minds working
in the field of infrastructure development on a common platform to share their knowledge of technical expertise, experience
and forthcoming challenges in this area. Moreover, it will be great opportunity for the enthusiastic learners and research
scholars to learn from the experience and vision of eminent scientists and innovators dedicated towards the development
of infrastructure in the Country and across World.

Road Construction Department (RCD) in close association with BRPNNL, Govt. of Bihar has taken an initiative to spread
awareness on Disaster by organizing a fruitful discussion on Disaster Management, which will also help us in taking any
decisive measures during the course of disaster. In this context, we request you to share your expertise in the field of
Disaster Management especially focused on “National and Global level issues arises due to disaster and reduction of
risks associated with flood” in Panel Discussion event which is planned on 19th Dec, 2019 at around 12:30pm to 3:00pm.
We would be very grateful for the honor of hosting your presence for a great shower of inspiration & enlightenment, from
your personal & professional expertise which would add an overall value to vision & wisdom of the audience. “Panel
Discussion” will witness the discussion among most prominent individuals who are connoisseurs in their disciplines, on
the ideas expounded by the brightest young minds of the country in a bid to provide a ray of light on the solutions of present
day hard pressing problems in order to shine a way for India to navigate her way out of hurdles by seeking service of
science and become an technology superpower.
