Chairperson Report: Peter Kavanagh called Peter M. and stated that he

was back in the office. He will be working on the budget and when the
numbers start coming in he will be in touch.

Minutes of October 15, 2008 were approved.

Minutes of Meeting
1. Signage – Nothing new to report. Action: Susan Cassidy and Carla
Ward will work on the proposal for acquisition of the signs.
2. Rural Plan – Action: Peter Michaud will keep the LSADC informed.
3. Phone/Mail Messages – One phone message – individual wanted a
map of Hanwell area. No mail
4. Rural Community Round Table – There was a brain storming
exercise with the theme “why do you want a rural community” and
the consensus was that people want to manage “our own destiny”.
Action: Peter Michaud will keep the LSADC informed.
5. Budget: Nothing new to report. Action: Susan to follow up.
6. Recreation proposals - No new developments. Action: Holly will
keep trying contact Hugh Doherty or Peter Kavanagh.
7. Web-site update – Peter will follow-up with Glen Desjardins with
regard to the update of the website software. The continuing reminder
to members to review their respective areas and provide update to
content.
8. Business Cards – Peter M hasn’t had an opportunity to print them.
Action: Peter M. to print.

New Business

1. Invitation from Enbridge Gas – try to set up a lunch meeting.

2. Policing Report: The Community Council Policing Committee is
meeting again after a break due to summer and municipal elections.
The meetings take place every 3 months on the last Tuesday of the
Month. The next meeting is January 27, 2009.

Tabled Items:
1. Acquiring crown land- tabled until we hear from Minister – Peter
Kavanagh sent memo March/07
2. Emergency Measures Plan – tabled until determination of RC
3. Policing – DARE
4. No Response Initiative
