PAMIL NFMIL 2020 - Invitation Letter
The Philippine Association for Media and Information Literacy (PAMIL) Inc. will be holding its
2nd National Forum on Media and Information Literacy (NFMIL) with the theme “Understanding
Media and Information Ecosystem: Towards an Inquiry-Based Teaching” on January 17-18, 2020
at the Learning Commons, Henry Sy Sr. Hall, De La Salle University, Taft Ave., Manila.
The 2nd national forum will have the following objectives: 1) To discuss issues and trends on media
and information literacy education in the country; 2) To describe how teaching MIL could combat
information disorder and promote cyberwelness; 3) To identify research approaches and research-
based teaching strategies of Senior High School teachers in three areas: Media and Information
Literacy, Empowerment Technologies and Practical Research 1 & 2; and 4) To develop research
agenda on Media and Information Literacy and Empowerment Technologies that can be covered in the
teaching of Practical Research 1 and 2 subjects.
It is in this light that we are inviting you to attend the forum. The following are the rates for the 2nd
NFMIL.
*Full payment of registration rates will be until Dec. 31, 2019. There will be no walk-in participants to
be allowed due to tight security.
**The Early Bird Rates do not apply. The Group Rates are applicable only to PAMIL members who

Please pay your registration fees thru any Bank of the Philippines Islands branch or GCash facility by
using the following details:
Upon payment, please write first your name and your institution in the deposit/transaction slip below
the transaction details and email a scanned or photographed copy of this deposit slip through
pamil.nationalforum@gmail.com. You will receive an acknowledgement letter from the Forum
Registration Committee.
The registration fee includes your forum kit, certificate of participation, two light snacks and one lunch
on the first day and one heavy morning snack on the second day. Please see attached program for
details.
Participants from the provinces will be responsible for their accommodation requirements while in
Manila or you may coordinate with the following Forum Regional Coordinators for assistance:
