In order to cater all kinds of young professionals in the General Santos City, it was

decided to conduct a survey in different industries in the said city including those
companies not located in the center of the city. It was planned to have 100 respondents,
fortunately, a total of 115 respondents or an additional 15 young professionals in different
companies in General Santos City. The respondents were grouped according to age
bracket (i.e. 21-25, 26-30, 31-35, and 36-40 years old). 80 out of 115 respondents or
69.56% belongs to the age bracket of 21-25 years old. 19 out of 115 respondents or
16.52% belongs to 26-30 years old. 8 out of 115 respondents or 6.96% belongs to 31-35
years old, and also 8 out of 115 respondents or 6.96 belong to 36-40 years old.
Considering the sex of the respondents is an important factor in determining the
demand of the said conduct. 56 out of 115 respondents or 48.69% are male which is near

close to female which is 59 out of 115 respondents or 51.31%

Medium or sources of information is also an important factor to be considered in


conducting the said conduct. Respondents may be informed in 1 or more sources of
information in which they heard such kind of business. 31 out of 151 or 20.67% are from a
source of newspaper. 5 out of 151 or 3.33%. 6 out of 151 or 4.00% are from employer. 44
out of 151 or 29.33% are from Radio/ Television. 21 out of 151 or 14% are from their
Relatives. 38 out of 151 or 25.33% are from their friends and 6 out of 151 or 4% are from

other factors.

Reason for going overseas is also an important factor.98 out of 128 or 77.00% is
for work. For leisure, 25 out of 128 or 30.00% and 5 out of 128 or 4.00% is for other

reasons in which they did not specify.

Preferred language/ course to learn is major factor to be considered. For English


course, 57 out of 153 or 37.00%, for Korean 36 out of 153 or 24.00% for Nihonggo, 52
out of 153 or 34% and for Mandarin, 8 out of 153 or 5% and for preferred schedule, 15
out of 115 respondents or 13.00% wanted weekdays (morning) schedule, 6 out of 115
respondents or 5.00% wanted weekdays (afternoon), 19 out of 115 respondents or
17.00% wanted weeknights, and for weekends 75 out of 115 respondents or 65.00%.
Since the market targets young professionals, it was concluded that most of them would

prefer a weekend schedule.

The respondents prefer the location of the school to be near academic institution,
school/offices, food stores, transportation terminal, medical institution, government

institution, government offices, and shopping malls.

80% of the respondents had heard/seen language school while 91% of the 115
respondents have plan to go abroad and 58% are willing to pay the amount suggested.

To sum up 73% are willing to enroll in the foreign language school.
